Three people lost their lives, while three more are missing, as a cargoship sank in the Zhoushan sea area. When the incident occurred, the crew were thrown into the sea.

Search operation in the UK finds body of missing seafarer

On February 15, HM Coastguard received a report of a potential man overboard from a gas carrier off Margate Harbour. After receiving the report, HM Coastguard coordinated an extensive search, which eventually found a body in the water.

More specifically, the call reporting a possible man overboard, came in from a boat off Margate Harbour at around 5.41am.

Four dead after tanker fire in Persian Gulf

After a fire broke out on the Zoya 1, off the Strait of Hormuz, four people were killed, in spite of initial information that claimed that the crew had been rescued. The fire occurred 34 kilometers (21 miles) off Sharjah.

Divers find bodies of two fishermen after tanker – fishing vessel collision

Divers located the two missing bodies of the two fishermen that had been missing after the collision between the shrimp boat Pappy’s Pride and the tanker Bow Fortune in the Galveston Bay Entrance Channel, January 14.

Shipyard worker loses life at Fukuoka Shipbuilding, Japan

A shipyard worker died as he was working on a newbuilding vessel at the Fukuoka Shipbuilding in Japan. According to reports, the worker had been injured while cleaning the ship’s cargo tank, and later succumbed to the injuries.

Sources report that the worker fell during works in the cargo tank of the chemical tanker newbuild. He was later found unconscious and was transferred to the hospital for medical treatment. However, despite efforts, he lost his life.
