Ship Finance International Limited (NYSE: SFL) (“Ship Finance” or the “Company”) announces that it has entered into lease financing agreements (each, a “Lease Financing”) totaling $400 million with an Asian-based institution to finance four 14,000 TEU container vessels acquired in May 2018. 12 killed and 8 injured in India road accident

At least 12 people were killed and eight others injured Sunday (Nov. 04) after a container truck rammed into a car and two two-wheelers in northern Indian state of Haryana, police said.

In a first for the country’s inland water transport, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 12 will receive a container vessel in Varanasi on the river Ganga, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said on Sunday (Nov. 04).

Container’s explosion at Port of L.A.

Los Angeles authorities responded to an explosion from inside a shipping container at the Port of Los Angeles on Tuesday.

No injuries or other property damage were reported and police have no indication the explosion has any connection to terrorism.

Police later said the explosion was apparently caused by combustion of scrap metals and it is being treated as an industrial accident. The scrap metal was designated for export out of the country.
