Fesco Transportation Group announced the launch of a new intermodal service connecting China, South Korea, Japan and Russia, as part of the expansion of the company’s service network.

Russian container market update: FESCO launches new service, COSCO and ZIM drop routes

Russian liner operator Far Eastern Shipping Company (FESCO) has launched a service connecting the Russian Far East with China and Vietnam, after the Israeli container line ZIM pulled out of the route.

The FESCO service, called FESCO Vietnam Direct Line, is served by two ships, an owned vessel, the 1,060 TEU FESCO Trader and the 1,078 TEU A Houou, which is chartered from Starocean Marine.

FESCO’s profit and revenue soar in 2021

Russian FESCO Transportation Group has achieved revenues of more than US$1.4 billion in 2021, marking a significant increase of 83% compared to 2020 figures, while the company’s net profit skyrocketed by 354% surpassing US$475 million.

FESCO acquires 9,000 new containers

FESCO Transportation Group has acquired 9,000 new containers as part of the implementation of its development strategy.

With this action, the fleet of the Russian transportation company will now exceed 100,000 TEU.
