Master Marine Inc., Bayou La Batre, Ala., has delivered the first of two 67’x28′ Entech Designs designed vessel to Osage Marine Services Inc., St. Louis. It’s Osage’s first newly built towboat and it has all of its USCG certificates for Subchapter M compliance.

Tank barge deliveries spiking in 2019

The number of inland tank barge deliveries during the first half of 2019 are up 52% over same time last year deliveries, according to River Transport News.

RTN’s mid-year survey of new inland tank barge delivery activity shows “the inland barge industry operating on the Mississippi River System and its connecting waterways took delivery of 50 new inland tank barges during the first six months of 2019.”

For the quarter ended March 31, 2019, Conrad had a net loss of $307,000 and loss per diluted share of $0.06 compared to net income of $586,000 and earnings per diluted share of $0.12 during the first quarter of 2018.

Conrad’s backlog was $122.7 million at March 31, 2019, compared to $127.7 million at Dec. 31, 2018, and $106.2 million at March 31, 2018.
