Flexport to reduce management, fulfillment workforce amid company shift

Flexport, a global supply chain solutions provider, is eliminating management positions and reducing the size of its fulfillment team, according to an internal memo first seen by The Information.

Former Flexport associate raises $6.5M for SMB freight management platform

Freight management platform Portex announced Thursday it has raised $6.25 million in seed funding to further develop its technology for small and midsize shippers. The funding round was led by Footwork VC, with participation from Cowboy Ventures and previous investors, Susa Ventures and Base10.

Flexport’s global head of ocean freight focuses on helping companies grow

Flexport has tapped Trine Nielsen as the global head of ocean freight.

Flexport expands Convoy Platform to connect more brokers, carriers

Flexport announced Monday it is expanding the Convoy Platform for brokers by giving them access to thousands of carriers in its network across the country.

The global supply chain solutions provider acquired Convoy’s technology and intellectual property in November, after the digital truck brokerage shut down permanently in October.
