Flexport to reduce management, fulfillment workforce amid company shift

Flexport, a global supply chain solutions provider, is eliminating management positions and reducing the size of its fulfillment team, according to an internal memo first seen by The Information.

Former Flexport associate raises $6.5M for SMB freight management platform

Freight management platform Portex announced Thursday it has raised $6.25 million in seed funding to further develop its technology for small and midsize shippers. The funding round was led by Footwork VC, with participation from Cowboy Ventures and previous investors, Susa Ventures and Base10.

Flexport expands Convoy Platform to connect more brokers, carriers

Flexport announced Monday it is expanding the Convoy Platform for brokers by giving them access to thousands of carriers in its network across the country.

Peloton: Flexport wrongly charged millions in detention, demurrage fees

Peloton has filed a Federal Maritime Commission complaint against Flexport, alleging that Flexport’s practices cost the fitness company millions of dollars in unreasonable charges.
