Tema port’s Meridian Port Services Ltd (MPS) container terminal in Ghana has successfully completed operations of the second phase at the fourth new berth of the Tema Port Expansion Project.

Ghanaian terminal enhances border security and port gate capacity

Meridian Port Services Limited (MPS) at the Port of Tema, Ghana, has announced an additional drive-through container scanner into operation at MPS Terminal 3 this month, making a total of six container scanners installed at the terminal.

Phase Two of Tema Port Expansion Project in Ghana

Integrated infrastructure delivery company AECOM has been awarded Phase Two of the Tema Port Expansion Project (TPEP) in Ghana, on behalf of Meridian Port Services (MPS), operator of the container terminal.

Phase One of Terminal Three was formally opened for shipping business on 28 June, following successful tests and simulation exercises of the project by MPS. An official ceremony was held during which a symbolic key was handed over to the MPS operations team.
