Major and minor adjustments to Far East trade routes

Danish ocean carrier Maersk has added the port of Guangzhou (Nansha) to the schedule of its SH2 between China and Bangladesh, while it has also removed the Taiwanese ports of Kaohsiung and Keelung.

The revised port rotation of the service will now be Ningbo (China), Shanghai (China), Tanjung Pelepas (Malaysia), Chittagong (Bangladesh), Mongla (Bangladesh), Tanjung Pelepas, Singapore, Guangzhou, Nansha (China) and back to Ningbo.

Major restructuring for intra-Asia service, as Evergreen upgrades its role

The joint service FAX/IEA/EAX/REA/FAS – operated by Emirates Shipping Line, Global Feeder Shipping, Interasia Lines, KMTC, Regional Container Lines, and T.S. Lines – is undergoing a significant change.

Asian lines launch Southeast Asia-Middle East service

CULines, Global Feeder Shipping and Emirates Shipping Line will launch a service called Vietnam Gulf express (VGX) / Vietnam Gulf India (VGI) in January 2022 to directly connect Vietnam, Thailand and the Middle East.

The three container lines will deploy five 1,900 – 2,100 TEU vessels to serve VGX/VGI, with the maiden voyage being scheduled to depart the Vietnamese port of Ho Chi Minh on 17 January 2022 with the 2006-built GFS Pearl.

Dubai-based feeder boxship operator Global Feeder Shipping (GFS) has added to its fleet with the acquisition of 2007-built 3,450 teu boxship Uni Florida from Hong Kong-headquartered Japanese owner Uni Asia, reports Splash247.
