Τέσσερα επιπλέον containerships στον στόλο της Global Ship Lease

Tην απόκτηση τεσσάρων containerships μεταφορικής ικανότητας 8.500 TEUs με charter-back ανακοίνωσε πρόσφατα η Global Ship Lease, συμφερόντων του κ. Γιώργου Γιουρούκου.

Τα πλοία, με μέση ηλικία τα 20 έτη, αποκτήθηκαν έναντι $123,3 εκατ. Μεγάλη liner εταιρεία ναύλωσε τα εν λόγω containerships για ελάχιστο διάστημα 24 μηνών, ενώ υπάρχει η δυνατότητα επέκτασης της ναύλωσης από την πλευρά του ναυλωτή για ακόμη 12 μήνες.

Stocks of container and dry bulk shipowners took a beating this summer. Tanker stocks continued their ascent, with many U.S.-listed tanker owners hitting fresh 52-week highs on Tuesday.

Γιώργος Γιουρούκος: Αύξηση κερδών 264,6% για την Global Ship Lease

Καθαρά κέρδη ύψους 124,7 εκατ. δολαρίων κατέγραψε η εισηγμένη Global Ship Lease συμφερόντων Γιώργου Γιουρούκου, το α’ εξάμηνο του 2022 έναντι 34,2 εκατομμυρίων το αντίστοιχο χρονικό διάστημα του 2021. Ποσοστό αύξησης 264,6%.

Σε επίπεδο β’ τριμήνου τα κέρδη αυξήθηκαν στα 54,5 εκατομμύρια δολάρια έναντι 30 εκατ. το 2021.

Τα λειτουργικά έσοδα ανήλθαν στα 308 εκατ. το α’ εξάμηνο έναντι 155,8 το 2021 και στα 154,4 εκατομμύρια το β’ τρίμηνο έναντι 82,8 το 2021.

Ship charter rates still ‘spectacular’ but war could tip the balance

Do container line bosses believe the historic freight boom will end anytime soon? If the ship charter market is any indication, it sure doesn’t look like it.

Liner companies continue to pay record-high sums to rent container ships for up to five years, even as the Russia-Ukraine war caps rate gains. 

The Harpex index, which measures container-ship charter rates, has held steady at its highest level ever for the past three weeks. Alphaliner recently said that charter rates are at “historic highs”...
