Users and polluters will pay in drive towards major cut in transport emissions

The transport sector will be forced to significantly cut emissions following the election of future European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen.
She has made a Green Deal the platform of her presidency.

Long Beach port terminals show off new zero-emissions equipment

DNV/GL predicts shipping industry will miss IMO 2050 CO2 reduction targets unless drastic action is taken

The shipping industry will miss the climate change reduction targets set by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) unless it ‘future-proofs’ newbuilds and continues to invest.

Shipping starting to clean up its act, but aviation contrails still a concern

Emissions reporting has upped the ante – with container shipping statistics labelled as “quite favourable”, while the impact on climate change from aviation contrails will triple by 2050.

Container shipping and charity set their combined sights on ‘greener’ seas

Charities and industry have aligned to urge governments to halt the destruction of marine habitats.
