Russia launches plan for a low carbon future

Russia has set out a long-term, low carbon development plan spanning on the next three decades. According to the plan, Russia will reduce GHG emissions by a third by 2030 from 1990 levels.

EC issues €980m in EU funding for clean energy infrastructure

In light of the adoption of the 2020 CEF Energy Work Programme today, the 2020 CEF Energy call for proposals has opened, offering funding to support projects of common interest in the energy sector, in the areas of electricity, gas, smart grids and cross-border carbon dioxide networks.

Brazil drains water from one of Stellar Banner cargo holds

The Brazilian Navy reported that drainage of saltwater from one of the cargo holds of the grounded cargo ship Stellar Banner has been completed.
