GTT Bags Another LNGC Tank Design Order

GTT has received a new order from the South Korean shipyard Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries for the tank design of two new liquefied natural gas carriers (LNGCs),says an article published on offshore-energy.

First quarter of 2023

It will design the tanks of the two vessels, which will each offer a total cargo capacity of 174,000 m3 and will be fitted with the Mark III Flex membrane containment system developed by GTT.

The South Korean shipbuilder Samsung Heavy Industries has placed a new order with French LNG containment expert GTT, as reported by LNG Prime.

Expected delivery 

According to a release, GTT will design the tanks for two 174,000 cbm LNG carriers under the terms of the contract, which are expected to be delivered between the third quarter of 2026 and the first quarter of 2027.

GTT Solid Results In 2022, Growth Expected In 2023

  • French LNG containment specialist GTT has finished the 2022 financial year with solid results, expecting market growth in the coming years.

It had consolidated revenues of €307.3 million and consolidated EBITDA of €161.1 million.

GTT receives US$5 million in funding to develop on-board CO2 capture system
