Crowley building new 55,000-bbl. ATB for Alaska

Crowley Fuels has signed construction contracts to build a 55,000-bbl., articulated tug-barge (ATB) that is specifically designed to serve the Western Alaska market with delivery of clean fuel products.

The 410′ ATB will have enhanced performance features for the demanding river and sea conditions of Western Alaska. The area depends on safe and reliable marine delivery services during the short open-water season.

OSG exercises option for second 204,000 bbl. tank barge

Overseas Shipholding Group Inc. (OSG), a provider of energy transportation services for crude oil and petroleum products in the U.S. Flag markets, announced that it has exercised an option to construct a second 204,000 bbl. oil and chemical ATB barge at Gunderson Marine LLC (GM), Portland, Ore.
