Transworld Group Expands Its Bulker Fleet

UAE’s Transworld Group announced the acquisition of 2011-built handy bulker Asahi Maru from Japanese owner Yokoyama Kaiun, says an article published in Splash 247.

Vessel name & value 

The Japanese-built 47,100 dwt vessel has been renamed TBC Passion. No price was given for the sale, while VesselsValue placed a valuation on the vessel of $11.57m.

Ocean Yield Announces Sale of Handysize Bulker

Norwegian owner Ocean Yield has announced the sale of its 2018-built 39,800 dwt handy bulker, reports Splash247.

Vessel under long term charter 

The vessel, La Loirais, has been employed on a long-term charter to Louis Dreyfus Armateurs, who declared an option to sell the vessel to an unnamed third party.

Ocean Yield will receive proceeds of $16.2m and record a small book profit from the sale.
