Hapag Lloyd applies GRI/GRA from Middle East & the Indian Sub to North America

A General Rate Increase (GRI) / General Rate Adjustment (GRA) is set to take effect for shipments from the Indian Subcontinent and Middle East to North America.

This adjustment applies to fully gated-in containers starting 1 February 2025 and will remain in effect until further notice.

Hapag-Lloyd introduces 66 new trainees

In Hamburg, 66 young men and women are beginning their training with Hapag-Lloyd. Among them, 14 will train as ship mechanics, while 18 will become assistant officers, with roles split between 14 nautical, three technical, and one electronic.

Hapag-Lloyd introduces new rates from Indian Sub to North Europe

Hapag-Lloyd appoints new senior managing director of Region North Europe

Joerg Sonne will take over as senior managing director of Region North Europe, following Martin Rolf, who will take over the position as managing director of human resources.

Sonne will begin his new role on 1 June 2023.

Container lines’ schedule reliability dips slightly at start of 2023

Sea-Intelligence reported that while schedule reliability continued to increase for much of 2022, in January 2023 there has been a month-to-month decline of 3.8%, reaching to 52.6%.
