Deadline day for English freeports – bids from ‘every major seaport operator’

The deadline for submission of bids to build and operate seven proposed freeports in England passes today, with as many as 40 bids understood to have been received by the UK Treasury.

UK DfT snaps up extra ferry capacity to keep freight ‘flowing smoothly’ post-Brexit

The UK’s Department for Transport (DfT) has signed a £77.6m deal with four ferry operators to provide extra capacity between the UK and continental Europe should cross-Channel freight flows be hit by significant disruption post-Brexit.
