General cargo ship FRANCISCA lost containers at around midday Oct 31 due to stormy weather in the North sea west of Duncansby Head, northeast tip of Scotland. She was en route from Iceland to Rotterdam. 

The ship turned back, passed Pentland Firth and sailed in the northwest direction, to wait out stormy weather.

General cargo ship MV MAA lost both her anchors at night Oct 12. She was beached at Visakhapatnam, India, Bay of Bengal, when a storm bashed. 

The ship was deployed in Visakhapatnam – Mongla, Bangladesh for regular cargo service. The ship was almost running aground and people in large numbers gathered in that area.
