According to an article published by NBC2, a tugboat belonging to Bourbon Offshore sank to the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean.

What happened?

On September 27, the French corporation Bourbon Offshore confirmed that their ship Bourbon Rhode sank sometime on Thursday as it tried to navigate through Hurricane Lorenzo.

The Bourbon Rhode is a tugboat used to supply and move around oil drilling platforms and rigs. At 162 feet long and 1525 U.S. tons, this is by no means a small vessel.

A rescue operation of Bourbon Offshore‘s tug/supply vessel Bourbon Rhode is under way, as the vessel was in transit 1,200 nautical miles off Martinique and 60 nautical miles south-southeast from the eye of category 4 Hurricane Lorenzo.
