ICTSI’s terminal network joins Maersk’s blockchain platform

Global terminal operator International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) has agreed  to connect its terminals to the TradeLens blockchain network, a platform developed by Maersk and IBM.

Connecting to Tradelens allows ICTSI’s 31 terminals permissioned access to accurate information on cargo movements in advance of vessel arrivals, according to an announcement.

Westports and ICTSI say Covid-calm will be followed by the storm

Westports Holdings, which runs nine container terminals in Malaysia’s Port Klang, said the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic will be seen from the second quarter of 2020, as the impact of the lock downs in a number of countries spreads.

SPICT enjoys equipment surge

South Pacific International Container Terminal (SPICT) received a significant equipment-boost ahead of schedule. Three new hybrid rubber tyred gantries (RTGs) will enhance the subsidiary of ICTSI in Lae, Papua New Guinea (PNG).
