More transatlantic blankings are unveiled as a new trade war threatens

2M partners Maersk and MSC have extended the suspension of their TA4/NEUATL4 transatlantic loop through to September.
The service, which deploys five vessels with an average capacity of 5,300 teu and has a rotation of Antwerp-Rotterdam-Bremerhaven-Liverpool-New York-Savannah-Port Everglades-Savannah, was originally suspended until mid-June and to mid-July.

Transatlantic shippers are set to be hit by another wave of blank sailings this month after 2M partners Maersk and MSC announced that the suspension of the TA4/NEUTAL4 would be extended.

Port of Cork wins new transatlantic deepsea call on ICL service

Irish exporters will next month have their first direct deepsea transatlantic service to the US for many years, after niche carrier Independent Container Line (ICL) announced plans to include the port of Cork on its North Europe-US east coast service.
