Canadian National Railway is bracing for a work stoppage Tuesday after members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) in Canada issued a 72-hour strike notice.

CN confirms IBEW members are on strike

Canadian railway CN says operations are continuing after members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) went on strike Saturday.

CN gets notice IBEW workers could go on strike

Canadian railway CN has received a notice from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) that its members could go on strike this weekend.

The action would affect approximately 750 employees in Canada, CN (NYSE: CNI) said in a release late Wednesday. 

IBEW provided it with a 72-hour notice of its plans to strike at 11 a.m. EDT on Saturday.
