ICTSI Manila boosts operations with next-generation cranes

With the recent arrival of three new quay cranes at its flagship Manila International Container Terminal (MICT), International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) has significantly bolstered its capacity to accommodate foreign ultra-container vessels.

Manufactured by Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industry Co. Ltd. (ZPMC), the new machines are two post-Panamax cranes with a reach of 18 rows across for Berths 3 and 4, and one neo-Panamax crane with a reach of 20 rows across designated for Berth 7.

Maersk launches first Rijeka-Czech Republic direct cargo rail service

A regular rail link between Rijeka, Croatia and Paskov, Czech Republic via the Adriatic Gate Container Terminal (AGCT) commenced for the first time, according to a statement by International Container Terminals Services, Inc. (ICTSI).

ICTSI to expand operations in Argentina

A recent technical study by Argentina’s National Technological University (NTU) revealed that ports in La Plata and Dock Sud can fully support container volumes and the flow of trade in the metropolitan areas of Greater Buenos Aires and Greater La Plata, according to a recent ICTSI’s announcement.

Currently, the country’s containerised cargo are primarily facilitated in the Buenos Aires main port located at the city center.
