Large quantities of drugs found in container at Piraeus port

A large amount of Captagon amphetamine pills, notoriously favored by ISIS fighters, was found in a container at Piraeus port, the Greek national news agency AMNA reported on Monday (1 Jan. 2019).

Greek authorities have not yet formally revealed further information.

The pills were hidden in lead pipes, and the shipment had arrived in Greece from the Middle East, probably from Syria, two days ago. Its final destination was Croatia, AMNA reported, citing police sources.
