Israeli company confirms Cargojet deal for Boeing 777 cargo conversions

Israel Aircraft Industries on Monday announced that it will structurally modify four Boeing 777-300 passenger jets to carry heavy cargo on the top deck for Canadian all-cargo carrier Cargojet, confirming independent reporting by FreightWaves.

Emirates invests in converted and new 777 freighters

Emirates signed a sales agreement Monday making it the second customer for Israel Aerospace Industries’ Boeing 777 large-freighter conversion program currently under development, just as fledgling U.S. rival Mammoth Freighters announced its first order. Israeli aerospace firm launches cargo conversion program for Airbus A330

Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI) announced Monday it will develop a program for converting Airbus A330-300 passenger aircraft into cargo freighters and produce 30 of them for Dublin-based Avolon, the third-largest aircraft leasing company in the world, between 2025 and 2028.

Avolon is entering the air cargo market sector for the first time, seeking to capitalize on favorable conditions. All 837 of the aircraft it owns, manages or has on order — including 54 A330-200/300s — are passenger models.
