The Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT) has announced the addition of two transportation and logistics experts in containerised cargo to the port’s commercial team, Joyssy Arias and Sheila Cox.

JAXPORT handles record box volumes in FY2021

The Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT) has set a new container volume record, while it maintained congestion-free operations on both the landside and waterside, during the Fiscal Year 2021, which ended on 30 September.

More than 1.4 million TEU moved through the port in Florida during FY 2021, which translates to an increase of 10% from the same period of the previous year and a 5% rise from 2019, which was a record year for container volumes at the port.

Jaxport awards US$48 million contract for SSA terminal upgrade

The Board of the Jacksonville Port Authority (Jaxport) has awarded a US$48.8 million construction services contract to Superior Construction Company LLC for the expansion and modernisation of SSA Jacksonville Container Terminal at Blount Island, Florida.

JAXPORT increases box volumes, Florida State provides federal Covid-19 relief funding

The Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT) has recorded an increase of 15% in container volumes during the first three quarters of the Fiscal Year 2021 (1 October 2020 – 30 September 2021), compared to the corresponding period of last year, by moving more than 1 million containers.

US ports and major box carriers to upgrade Southeast US Chassis Pool

Three US port authorities have agreed with Ocean Carrier Equipment Management Association (OCEMA), an association of ten major international container carriers, to increase and upgrade the South Atlantic Chassis Pool (SACP).

JAXPORT sets container and auto records

The Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT) has achieved a record number of container and auto moves during the first three quarters of fiscal year 2019. During this time, JAXPORT moved nearly one million containers, a six percent increase over the same period last year.
