Norfolk Southern Corporations selects Konecranes hybrid RTGs

Konecranes has been selected by US Norfolk Southern Corporation (NSC), a transportation company in the United States, to provide five hybrid rubber-tired gantry cranes (RTGs) for intermodal operations in the Chicago area. The order was booked in December 2019.

Konecranes says its hybrid RTGs are equipped with a battery pack and Tier iV final genset for very eco-efficient operation.

Port of Savannah sets new crane fleet record in North America

The Port of Savannah received three Neo-Panamax ship-to-shore cranes on Tuesday, bringing its total to 36, more than any other single terminal in North America.

“Along with dock improvements at Garden City Terminal, our growing crane fleet will allow Savannah to serve four 14,000-TEU vessels simultaneously by 2023,” said Georgia Ports Authority executive director Griff Lynch.

Konecranes to enhance Antwerp and Terneuzen

Two new cranes are scheduled to be delivered to Benelux ports in the course of this year boosting throughput at the facilities, following the orders made for the cranes, at the end of 2019, by Goeyvaerts-R bvba (Goeyvaerts).

APMT Nigeria selects Konecranes equipment

Konecranes has won an order for 20 RTG cranes from APMT’s West Africa Container Terminal in East Nigeria. The order was booked in two parts, the first in December 2019 and the second in January 2020. Delivery is scheduled for Q4 2020 – Q2 2021.

Konecranes gains Ecolifting powered cranes order in Rotterdam
