Novel low pressure LCO2 carrier design gains DNV AiP

DNV has awarded a detailed Approval in Principle (AiP) to Shell International Trading and Shipping Company Limited and Brevik Engineering for their design of a 74,000 cubic meter liquid carbon dioxide (LCO2 ) carrier. Northern Lights JV: Ορόσημο για την κατασκευή των πρώτων LCO₂ carriers

Ένα βήμα πιο κοντά στα πρώτα πλοία μεταφοράς υγροποιημένου διοξειδίου του άνθρακα βρίσκεται η Northern Lights JV, κοινοπραξία των κολοσσών ενέργειας Shell, Total και Equinor.

Ειδικότερα, βάσει πρόσφατης ανάρτησης της Northern Lights JV στα μέσα κοινωνικής δικτύωσης, η εταιρεία παρέλαβε τις δεξαμενές μεταφορικής ικανότητας 7.500 κ.μ. για τα δύο πρώτα πλοία που ναυπηγούνται αυτή τη στιγμή, οι οποίες εγκαταστάθηκαν επιτυχώς.

Bernhard Schulte orders Northern Lights CO2 carrier

First two Northern Lights CO2 carrier ships are under construction

The Northern Lights JV, in which Equinor, Shell and TotalEnergies are equal partners, has awarded a time charter agreement to Bernhard Schulte that will see the construction of a fourth 7,500 cubic meter CO2 carrier for its fleet. The new Northern Lights CO2 carrier will be the fourth in a series of sister ships currently under construction at China’s Dalian Shipbuilding Offshore Co., Ltd (DSOC). It will be the first ship of this type to join the Bernhard Schulte fleet.
