US Recalls Potatoes & Lemons for Listeria Contamination

Fresh from the Start branded lemons are being recalled.

After the Salmonella Outbreak from onions a now potatoes and lemons are in danger over alleged contamination.

According to a CNN report, the FDA has announced a voluntary recall by Freshouse II LLC due to potential listeria contamination.

Why this recall?
The recall was issued after Freshouse found Listeria monocytogenes on a piece of equipment at one of its packing facilities, according to a statement on the FDA website.

Argentine lemon shipments to Europe to start

One of the largest exporter of lemons in the world is preparing to send its first shipments of the season from Argentina to Europe. Citromax is already shipping lemons to the US and by the end of the month, lemons will also be on their way to Europe.
