Europe extends life of block exemption for liner shipping

The European Commission has extended the liner shipping “Consortia Block Exemption Regulation” in Europe for four more years to 25 April 2024.

Study on shipping alliances makes EC exemption decision ‘puzzling’

There is an interesting piece on LinkedIn, questioning why the EC decided to extend the liner shipping block exemption for another four years. Shippers welcome plan for new index to improve liner reliability

Shanghai Shipping Exchange (SSE) and software solutions provider Cargosmart have teamed up to tackle vessel reliability concerns among shippers. 
They will work together to develop a new method of calculating schedule reliability on key tradelanes to help shippers optimise their supply chains.

Nigeria records marked increase in Liner shipping
