JAX LNG Expanding Its Capacity

The JAX LNG facility located along the St. John’s River in Jacksonville, Florida, US, is expanding its capacity – tripling liquefaction to 360 000 gal./d and doubling LNG storage to 4 million gal. The expansion is expected to be placed in service by early 2022 and will support a new long-term LNG supply agreement with a major maritime company for its dual-fuelled ships, reports lngindustry.

Nowegian Gas Supplier Gasnor will supply Ulvan Rederi’s new hybrid vessel with LNG under the terms of a 5-year supply agreement, says an article published in Ship&Bunker.

Ulvan Rederi’s ship the ‘Oddrun With’ is under construction in Turkey and will have a 350 m3 LNG tank as well as a battery propulsion system, Gasnor said in a statement on its website last week. The ship is due for delivery in May.
