The Port of New Orleans got a boost from the Louisiana State Legislature, which committed $230.5 million to the Louisiana International Terminal (LIT) and other infrastructure projects.

The $1.8 billion LIT aims to position New Orleans as one of the top international container gateways in the Gulf of Mexico, officials said.

Port NOLA CEO Brandy Christian stepping down

Brandy D. Christian is stepping down as president and CEO of the Port of New Orleans (and as CEO of its New Orleans Public Belt Railroad unit) in mid June to pursue an opportunity in the private sector. Port NOLA names Amanda Coates its new chief commercial officer

The Port of New Orleans (Port NOLA) has named Amanda Coates as its chief commercial officer. In this role, she will lead the port’s business development strategies and real estate operations.
