LPG shipping and trading firm Petredec Holdings has exercised its option to construct an additional three 93,000 cu m LPG carriers with dual fuel LPG propulsion at China’s Jiangnan Shipyard.

Delivery of the three vessels are scheduled in June, August and September 2023.

About the contract 

KSOE announced on Feb. 8 that it has recently signed a contract with Oceania-based shipping companies to build three ships. 

This includes two 40,000-cubic-meter LPG carriers and one 40,000-ton petroleum carrier (PC). 

In particular, the PC ship contract includes an option for one more ship of the same class.

K Line’s large gas carrier ‘Grace River’ has carried and discharged Ichthys LNG Project’s first LPG cargo carried to Japan, according to the company’s statement. The cargo was imported by Astomos Energy Corporation at Kyushu L.P.G. Fukushima Terminal, on January 23.
