The Damen Gorinchem Holland shipyard has ordered a hybrid-propulsion solution from MAN Energy Solutions in connection with the building of 2 × dual-fuel/hybrid RoRo ferries for Canadian outfit, Seaspan Ferries Corporation. Alfa Laval stresses competitiveness of LPG

Alfa Laval announced that, in partnership with MAN Energy Solutions, the Alfa Laval Fuel Conditioning Module (FCM) LPG has undergone successful tests with the first two-stroke, high-pressure marine engine to use LPG as fuel – and has been evaluated for use with ammonia.

Order made for world’s first mega-container ship retrofit to LNG

Hapag-Lloyd ordered the world’s first mega-container vessel, MV SAJIR, retrofit to LNG from MAN Energy Solutions. The pilot project will include the conversion of the current HFO-burning engine to a dual-fuel prime mover capable of running on HFO and LNG.
