The Port of Savannah is located 18 miles inland from the Atlantic Ocean at the mouth of the Savannah River just south of the Georgia/South Carolina border.
It is the third-largest seaport in the United States in terms of cargo volume. The Port of Savannah is owned and operated by the Georgia Ports Authority (GPA), a state agency.
