The EU takes decisive action to decarbonize shipping, criticizing the insufficient progress of IMO emission reporting requirements, says an article published in Safety4Sea.

European Commission Annual Report Find Containerships As the Largest Emitters!

According to the European Commission’s Environment Agency, the greenhouse gas emissions data from their annual report, emissions by 11.600 vessels, added up to over 138 million tonnes of CO2 emissions in that year, representing 3.7% of total EU CO2 emissions.

UN says maritime resources key to boost economy in East Africa
