Jeddah Islamic Port sets new container record in October

Jeddah Islamic Port achieved a significant milestone by setting a new monthly record, handling 511,348 TEUs in October and surpassing the previous record set in July, when the Saudi port handled 491,197 TEUs.

Record container throughput for King Abdulaziz Port

King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam, Saudi Arabia handled 18,553 TEUs on a single vessel, making it the highest throughput ever recorded across Saudi ports.

The previous record of the port was 18,021 TEUs set in the second quarter of 2022.

In addition, the milestone was achieved aboard the 20,000 TEU container vessel CSCL Indian Ocean, arriving from the Far East, through the efforts of container terminal operator Saudi Global Ports.

Saudi Ports Authority announces new service to connect Dammam to global market

The Saudi Ports Authority (MAWANI), in order to enhance the direct trade and shipping link between Saudi Arabia and the rest of the world, announced the addition of King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam to its Aladin Express DMCC’s shipping service, Gulf-India Express 2 (GIX2).
