Cherry aid: carriers collaborate to shift Chilean cherry harvest

Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has joined HMM, Ocean Network Express (ONE) and Hapag-Lloyd to move Chilean Cherries to the lucrative Chinese market deploying extra loaders to the trade, on a service dubbed the Cherry Express.

Mediterranean Shipping Company MSC has selected the Californian communications platform provider 8×8, Inc. to accelerate its global digital transformation.

Ongoing disruption at UK ports prompts MSC surcharges

MSC has announced that due to the ongoing congestion at UK ports the carrier will introduce congestion charges for all import containers ranging from US$50-175/TEU.

Congestion charges, on all container types, for UK imports will be imposed from 1 December for Far East origin freight, the 10 December for US imports, and from 16 November, for import cargo from other regions.

Major shipping carriers keep changing schedules amid Covid-19

Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has announced that in order to adapt the capacity to current market demands amidst the evolving COVID-19 situation, it will temporarily suspend the NWC (Northwest Countries) to IPAK (India Pakistan) service, effective from week 20 until end of June.
