Singapore arrests 11 for illegal transaction of MGO

Singapore’s Police Coast Guard (PCG) informed that it has arrested eleven men aged between 22 and 44 for a suspected involvement in an illegal transaction of marine gas oil (MGO), on 19 February 2019.

During a joint operation with the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), the PCG arrested six crew members of a craft belonging to a marine service provider and another five crew members of a foreign-registered tugboat for illegal transaction of MGO at the sea off Jurong Island.

7 arrested for illegal transaction of MGO off Singapore

Seven men got arrested on January 29 for an alleged illegal transaction of 2.7 tonnes of marine gas oil at the sea off Pulau Sudong, Singapore. According to the police, the men were arrested during a joint operation the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).

Three of the seven men were crew of a craft that belongs to a marine service provider, and the other four were members of a foreign-registered tugboat.
