Shipping Giant Owns Up $253K for Violating Anti-Pollution Laws

  • Japanese shipping company Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) has paid $253,300 in penalties to the CARB for violating the Ocean-Going Vessel At-Berth Regulation.

Nagoya Port Gets its First LNG Bunkering Hub

Toho Gas Co., Ltd. and Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. announced the implementation of a demonstration test to supply LNG (LNG bunkering) to the LNG-fueled (Note1) tugboat Ishin (Note2) in the Port of Nagoya, on Nov 8, reads a press release by Mitsui O.S.K. Lines.

This marked the first LNG bunkering in the Port of Nagoya, and the test confirmed that LNG can be safely supplied to vessels at the port.
