The Maritime And Port Authority Of Singapore published a circular stating the safety requirements for all vessels arriving at the Port of Singapore in the course of the pandemic, reports, MPA.

1. Owners, masters and agents of vessels arriving in the Port of Singapore must
ensure that all operations are carried out contactless or contactless with segregation

FueLNG Completes Singapore’s First Ship-To-Containership LNG Bunkering

  • FueLNG has completed Singapore’s first bunkering of an LNG-fuelled oil tanker.
  • The bunkering happen together with the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).

Singapore broadens crew change ban

As the COVID-19 outbreak in India starts to threaten neighboring countries, Singapore has extended its prohibition on crew change ban on crews with a recent travel history to India.

First Marine Biofuel Trial in Singapore

  • Oldendorff Carriers, and advanced biofuels pioneer GoodFuels, to conduct the first marine biofuel trial involving an ocean-going vessel bunkered in Singapore on 4 April 2021.
  • As part of the trial, the 2020-built 81,290 deadweight tonne dry bulk carrier Kira Oldendorff was refuelled with “drop-in” advanced biofuel blended with conventional fossil fuels.
  • The advanced biofuel, supplied by GoodFuels, reduces CO2 emissions by 80-90% well-to-exhaust compared with HFO/VLSFO.
