Tema terminal expansion completed way ahead of schedule

Meridian Port Services (MPS) has successfully completed the entire Phase 1 works of the Tema Port Expansion Project (Terminal 3 of Tema Port) two months ahead of schedule.

The finalisation of the first phase of the Ghanian terminal was announced on 30 April 2020, while MPS Terminal 3 was expected to go live on 28 June 2019 with two berths and the entire Phase 1 works were due to be completed on 28 June 2020.

Boxship training simulation at Tema Port

The first vessel has successfully docked at Tema Port’s new MPS Terminal 3, Ghana. The container vessel will be used for training purposes over the coming weeks, to ensure that the terminal runs smoothly from day one, when operations begin later this month on June 28.
