Dry weather in recent days has allowed crews to work without interruption clearing mud and other debris from Interstate 70 in the Glenwood Canyon area of western Colorado. This was according to the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT).

Tropical Storm Fred eyes US landfall this weekend

Tropical Storm Fred became the sixth named storm of the 2021 Atlantic hurricane season late Tuesday night.

Hurricane Elsa eyeing the Caribbean this weekend

Tropical Storm Elsa quickly strengthened into a hurricane Friday morning, making a beeline for the Caribbean. At 8 a.m. ET Friday, Elsa was centered just 20 miles southwest of Barbados.

Surface observations from Barbados indicate that Elsa’s maximum sustained winds have increased to near 75 mph, making it a Category 1 hurricane. Gusts have reached 86 mph so far.
