TAI acquired by S&B Infrastructure

New Orleans based naval architecture and marine engineering consultancy Technology Associates Inc. (TAI) has been acquired by S&B Infrastructure Ltd.

S&B Infrastructure Ltd., in operation since 1994, is one of the largest privately-owned engineering and construction firms in Texas. It says the move is a strategic acquisition that allows it to also position itself as a leading government and commercial engineer of world-class vessels.

The Shearer Group adds to its team

The Shearer Group, Inc., Houston, reports that Daniel Toerner has joined the firm as a naval architect.

Toerner recently graduated from Texas A&M University, College Station, with a Bachelor of Science in Ocean Engineering.

During his time at Texas A&M, he interned at Electro-Mechanical Industries, Kiewit Offshore Services, and Clarus Subsea Integrity. He also studied during a summer abroad in Italy.

Foreship launches project aimed at keeping coronavirus off cruise ships

Helsinki, Finland, headquartered naval architecture and marine engineering firm Foreship has launched an initiative to limit the presence and spread of coronavirus and other pathogens on passenger ships and get the cruise sector back up and running.
