Ghost ship sank, Myanmar

Container ship SAM RATULANGI, which on Aug 27 drifted ashore some 7 nm off Thongwa, Gulf of Mataban, Myanmar, while being under tow to a shipbreaking yard, sank, said Myanmar Maritime Authorities on Oct 3. The ship remains above waterline, as can be seen on photo, she is resting on bottom. Maritime Authorities ordered wreck removal from shipowner.
The ship was Indonesia-flagged, owned by PT DJAKARTA LLOYD (PERSERO), Jakarta. She was sold to PT Mandara Putra Bajatama and then re-sold to SMIT...
