China ports handled 116.5 million TEU from January to May

Chinese ports moved 116.5 million TEU from January to May of 2022, achieving a growth of 2.3% compared to the same period last year.

Additionally, the cargo volume of Chinese ports in the first five months of the year was 6251.0 million tons, representing a year-on-year decrease of 0.5%.

Chinese ports exceed 43 million TEU in first two months of 2022

The container throughput of Chinese ports reached 43.6 million TEU during the first two months of the year, which translates to a 2.9% increase over the corresponding period of 2021.

Additionally, the overall cargo volume of Chinese ports reached 2,358.1 million tons during the same period, representing a year-on-year increase of 2.7%.

China ports box volume rises 8.4%

From January to October 2021, the container throughput of Chinese ports was 235.5 million TEU, which translates to a year-on-year increase of 8.4%, while the cargo volume of Chinese ports was more than 12.8 billion tons, a year-on-year increase of 7.8%.
