AD Ports set to receive advanced cranes for new Safaga terminal in Egypt

AD Ports Group is ready to receive three new state-of-the-art Panamax cranes from Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Co. Ltd (ZPMC).

These cranes are earmarked for the Group’s new multipurpose cargo terminal in Safaga, Egypt, anticipated to commence operations in the second half of 2026.

AD Ports Group is allocating AE$193 million (US$52 million) to acquire three ship-to-shore (STS) cranes and six hybrid rubber tyred gantry (RTG) cranes for its Noatum Ports – Safaga Terminal.

AD Ports appoints Hassan Allam Construction to build Safaga Terminal

AD Ports Group has announced the appointment of Hassan Allam Construction, the flagship subsidiary of Hassan Allam Holding and a leading contractor in Egypt and the MENA region, to construct the infrastructure for the Noatum Ports – Safaga Terminal.

This terminal, located on Egypt’s Red Sea coast, will be the first internationally-operated port terminal in Upper Egypt.
