BIMCO secretary general and chief executive Angus Frew (pictured) has announced he will step down next summer, to spend more time in the UK and less time working.
The search for his replacement has started.

Ernst Schulze takes over at DP World UK as Chris Lewis retires

Ernst Schulze (pictured above) has taken the reins of DP World in the UK  as its new chief executive, succeeding Chris Lewis (below), who is retiring after a 36-year career in the ports industry.

Mr Schulze takes over management of the Southampton and London Gateway container terminals, the logistics park at London Gateway and Community Network Services (CNS), which provides customs clearance and digital logistics services.

CMA CGM appoints new chief financial officer for Ceva – in yet another switch

CMA CGM Group looks set to begin fixing its financial woes by appointing a new group deputy chief financial officer, Olivier Casanova (pictured), who will also become CFO for Ceva Logistics.  
He replaces “deal maker” Serge Corbel, who leaves Ceva after less than a year. It is not clear what Mr Corbel’s next move will be.  
The appointment could help boost CMA CGM’s financial options. CMA itself has seen several executive changes, with previous CFO Michel Delville staying at the shipping line...

CFO Nicolas Burr to leave Hapag-Lloyd in February

Hapag-Lloyd has announced that its chief financial officer, Nicolás Burr (pictured above), will leave the company on 29 February 2020 when his contract is due to end.
Mr Burr was appointed in March 2015, after the takeover of CSAV, where he had been CFO since 2012. The German carrier said his successor would be announced in due course.

APMM’s Claus Hemmingsen steps down as energy division closes

AP Møller-Maersk vice chief executive Claus Hemmingsen has announced he will step down, following the separation of Maersk Tankers, Maersk Oil and Maersk Drilling.
The move forms part of the company’s transformation initiative that started in 2016, with the result that the energy division, over which Mr Hemmingsen presides, will be closed by June.

CH Robinson CEO Wiehoff retires, Bob Biesterfeld takes over

Bob Biesterfeld, chief operating officer of CH Robinson for less than a year, is to become chief executive.
John Wiehoff (pictured), current CEO and chairman, will retain his position on the board, but will retire as chief executive.

Panalpina chairman to quit following shareholder pressure

An activist investor who had demanded that Panalpina remove its chairman, Peter Ulber, appears to have won the battle. The Swiss forwarder has announced that Mr Ulber will not stand for re-election at the next AGM on 9 May.
The company said its Compensation and Nomination Committee will conduct “a thorough and expeditious search process for a new independent chairman”.
