European Union prolongs Operation ASPIDES in the Red Sea

The European Union (EU) has prolonged its maritime security mission in the Red Sea region until 28 February 2026, dedicating more than €17 million (US$18 million) to ensure safe passage in light of persistent regional conflicts.
