Batangas Container Terminal achieves record container throughput

Batangas Container Terminal (BCT) has achieved its the highest container throughput it has handled since the beginning commercial operations in 2010. Overall, the BCT handled over 310,000 TEUs.

The figure marks a 25% increase from 2018’s volume, keeping BCT’s double-digit cargo growth over the past six years. This achievement also reduced about 150,000 truck trips from Metro Manila’s roads, with consignees choosing to ship cargoes through BCT.

Excelerate proceeds to construction of Batangas City LNG Terminal

The Philippine Department of Energy (DOE) provided to Excelerate Energy the Notice to Proceed (NTP) for the development of a floating liquefied natural gas import terminal in the Bay of Batangas, in line with DOE’s guidelines for ‘Rules and Regulation Governing the Philippine Natural Gas Industry.’

South China Sea ruling is legally binding US highlights
