NYK begins large-scale survey of ocean microplastics

NYK signed a memorandum of understanding with the Chiba Institute of Technology (CIT) to use a ship to collect and analyze microplastics in oceans worldwide, in order to create a solution to marine plastic pollution. Wärtsilä donates the first Seabin in East Asia

According to a recent statement, Wärtsilä, the technology group, installed a Seabin at the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club; the first Seabin to be donated in East Asia- bringing the Seabin Project’s floating rubbish bins around the world.
